That's me!

Professional
Hi there! A bit about me, I consider myself a motion design generalist. I started my career as a videographer / editor. I was a one man band at LendingTree working within their in-house creative team. Being the only video creative on the team, I had to quickly adapt and learn a lot of different skills to meet the demand. I made lots of educational content focused on personal finance, paid and organic social ads, and a slew of HR videos. During that time, I picked up After Effects and learned the ins and outs of it and animation.
After a few years there, I decided to go freelance and work on my design skills. I took a handful of design courses at School of Motion and learned the basics of VFX (tracking, compositing, rotoscoping, etc).
Over the last year, I've started learning more about 3D and rendering inside Redshift with Cinema 4D. I've also started taking on more conceptual roles for projects where I have to craft a visual style for a video. I'm looking forward to developing those skills.
Personal
I'm based in Charlotte, NC. However, I am now spending some extended time in Aguascalientes, Mexico as I work remotely from there.
Some of my main hobbies are cooking, playing poker, listening to music from other cultures, language learning and photography.
Another one of my main passions is the culture of Mexico. I began to fall in love with the people, the food, music and art since I was little. My father would tell me stories of his childhood and what it was like growing up there. And finally, I had the opportunity to visit there by myself for the first time in 2021, during the pandemic! I went there to visit my girlfriend whom I met on a language exchange app the year before. I genuinely experienced some of the happiest times in my life during those ten days. I went back a few months later and now we're married!
